That's definitely overrated.

Having been a person with a beard for years.

The only thing good about a beard is you really do

get out of the habit of shaving,

and you have to remind yourself

to shave for the rest of your life.

[drum roll]

I never was very good at it

and I haven't played in years,

but that's only because the last time I played

it was with some retired guys who played every day.

And it just ruined my game.

And the last shot I took that day went,

I think it sliced to the right out onto the freeway

and hit a windshield of a car,

and I thought I'd better quit while I'm ahead.

[drum roll]

Cannabis energy, well I won't be trying that one

in the next half of my life.

But it seems like a real paradoxical phrase.

I can't imagine anything to do with cannabis

having anything to do with energy.

Although I remember friends of mine saying

when I smoke a joint I get energy,

and that never was my experience,

so you know.

I was usually ready for a nap, you know?

[drum roll]

Very overrated, it's probably a fashion disaster

that I suffered from, like all,

shoulder pads and all the rest of it.

Mullets, you know.

Been there, done that.

Not proud of it, but.

Yeah, I don't know that they'll be coming back around

any time soon.

Probably will, probably already has

and that's what I know, you know?

Nothing but fashion.

[drum roll]

Not a band that had a lot of after parties.

There was a tour dinner one time

and that even surprised me, you know?

But yeah, they're usually pretty tame affairs.

Yeah, we just kinda stay with, keep our nose to the wheel

back in the day and did our damage separately.

Usually hit the streets in pairs or whatever.

[drum roll]

Friend of mine did work on that film

and would send me like daily scripts to check with me

and see if I was insulted yet,

and I never was.

In fact, some of the stuff they didn't use was hilarious.

Brutal, but hilarious.

I was glad to be a scapegoat for that one.

[drum roll]

Had a great time.

Underrated, it was great.

Great to meet Mac, I just talked to him by text seconds ago.

Great guy, great talent.

And his band, his whole approach is pretty great.

I don't think those guys will ever lose touch

with being a band here on earth.

They really seem to have a very down to earth

approach to it all, and it shows in their music, I think.

And that's what makes their music so appealing.

[drum roll]

That one escapes me [laughs].

Did Mac DeMarco?

Oh, okay.

I would say that's probably overrated [laughs].

I don't wanna have to find out,

but I'm pretty sure it's overrated.

[drum roll]

Overrated for sure.

I don't think there's any other species

that thinks more of themselves than we do.

Having said that, I enjoy being a human.

It's great fun most of the time.
