Let's just say, you know,

I think anything that can make film making

more accessible is a good thing,

as long as you're not making films

that are basically Instagram posts,

at Bergdorf Goodman's, you know.

Every Sunday we had a butterscotch sundae,

because it was Sunday

and then we would purchase different silk ties.

This tie came from the Goodwill.

I kinda probably look like one of those pricks.

[drum beating] [cymbals clanging]

I really loved Edward Scissorhands.

I often would tape scissors to my hands.

I would disassemble pairs of scissors, you know

so that I would have the two,

you know, have the tube

and I would take electrical tape.

I got my mom to buy black leggings.

I would come home from school

and get into my more comfortable

Edward Scissorhands' outfit.

They liked my imagination,

they thought it was, you know.

Think, I wasn't of the age to masturbate so.

And they circumcised me anyway so I mean,

in a way, what is there to be afraid of?

I mean what damage could I do to myself

that wasn't already done by them.

[drum beating] [cymbals clanging]

Unbelievable how good Bogart is,

you know.

And who doesn't wanna be like that?

Golly!

I just wanna walk around

with like a cigarette dangling from my mouth

and just mumble things

and great overbite, you know.

I have an overbite,

I have terrible teeth,

he did too,

and you know it's like,

people are like, why don't you get your teeth fixed?

Well, have you ever seen a Humphrey Bogart movie?

[drum beating] [cymbals clanging]

I think that if you can handle that much speed,

go for it.

I mean I think probably it's like a lot like

the millennial work ethic now with.

What do you call it now?

They don't call it Ritalin anymore.

Adderall. - Adderall!

It's kinda like a kid with Adderall, final cut pro,

or premier,

you know.

It's not like he was generating content

for an online provider.

[drum beating] [cymbals clanging]

I would say Robert Altman, John Houston,

anything by Cassavetes, Fassbender, Todd Solondz,

Kenneth Anger, Nick Roeg.

Essentially if somebody wants experimental film

give me Brakhage.

Grain, pre-exposed negative, chemically.

Rub Vaseline on the lens.

Reduced black ratio, you know what I mean?

And light and I don't even make movies.

Next.

[Interviewer asks question]

Yeah I'm not too.

[people laughing]

But it's just like,

do you really want to go back out in the cold?

I mean, what else is there to do in life?

This is basically it.

We're done.

There's 10 minutes left in the universe, you know,

we've completed this content.

There's nothing else left.
